To send your abstract, you must before register in this website and create an user account. Then, you can send the abstract in a form from your user account or directly through the e-mail info@forestsat2016.com.

Preparations - Paper Abstract


The abstracts should be in English or Spanish and must include:


  • Title of the contribution.
  • Names and affiliations of all the authors.
  • Keywords: between 3 and 7 keywords are requested.
  • Text of the abstract: formatted in single spacing, with or without citations, without line numbering. Clearly describing the aim(s), materials and methods used, main results achieved. A minimum of 200 words and a maximum of the equivalent of a letter sheet should be used.

Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the members of the Scientific Committee.


For each contribution accepted as oral or poster presentation at least one of the Authors is expected to attend to ForestSat-2016.


Each ForestSat2016 attendee can present a maximum of two contributions (orally, in a poster session or a mixture of both).


Written Presentation


Please prepare your presentation in English Language. The deadline to include your presentation in the Conference Proceedings is August 31th, 2016. Papers received after this date cannot be included in the conference proceedings.


Please submit your paper in MS Word through the form from your user account or directly by email to info@forestsat2016.com.


Format of Written Paper


The best papers will be published in an special issue of European Journal of Remote Sensing. The format of final papers must be as indicated in the following link:

Important Note: Copies of overheads or PowerPoint slides are NOT ACCEPTABLE as your written paper.


Oral Presentation


For your oral presentation you may bring a PowerPoint file on a USB flash drive (memory stick). You are highly encouraged to bring an additional copy of your presentation in case of technical difficulties. It is suggested that you email a copy of your presentation to your personal inbox as a backup. If for some reason the files can’t be accessed from your flash drive, you will be able to download them to the computer from your email.


All oral presenters are required to submit an electronic version of their presentation 15-20 minutes prior to the beginning of the session in the meeting room. All presentations will be scanned for viruses and subsequently loaded on the main projector computer. Use of your own laptop is not recommended.


Movies: If your PowerPoint files contain movies, please make sure that they are well formatted and connected to the main files.


Timing: Please make sure that your presentation is well timed. Every speaker has a maximum of 15 minutes for speaking and 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Please keep in mind that the program is full, and that the speaker after you would like their allocated time available to them.


Poster Session


There will be an exhibition of posters at the conference and the abstracts of accepted posters will be published in the conference program. You will be notified if your abstract has been accepted for poster presentation as soon as it has been reviewed by the organizing committee. All accepted posters will be presented during the Poster Viewing Session and Coffee Breaks.


Materials to hang your poster will be available at the poster area. However, you should bring your poster printed. You will receive your poster number 4-6 weeks prior to the conference.


Your presence is recommended during lunches and coffee breaks for discussion with those who are interested in your research.

  • Regular poster size is 70 cm (wide) by 90 cm (height).
  • The text should be readable by visitors standing 1.5 meters away from the poster.
  • You may display your poster during the conference.
